Great Things Are Happening

Hello everyone!!

We know it has been a while since our last newsletter. A lot has been going on, and we would like to fill you guys in.

2026 is off to a great start for the Foundation, and we hope it's been the same for the rest of you. We hope you continue to have a great year filled with blessings and opportunities.

Thank you to all our family members who have stuck with us throughout the years. We are grateful to you for all you've done. Thank you to our donors and sponsors, without whom our work would not be possible. We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to the Foundation and its growth over the years.

CHRISTMAS 2025

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Christmas Gift Drive. Because of your help, we were able to pack another round of relief packages for our Kidney Kids families who were severely affected by Hurricane Melissa. We were also able to give gifts to our Kidney Kids on dialysis.

JKKF would like to say a special thank you to UNICEF, which always includes our Kidney Kids in its Christmas gifting.

Friends of Caroling at Beethoven

Thank you to Mrs. Trudy Francis and her team at Caroling at Beethoven for their generous donation to our Foundation. We are immensely grateful.

WORLD KIDNEY DAY

World Kidney Day went off without a hitch this year. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth at the Sovereign centre.

A big thank you also goes out to our volunteers, the UHWI Nephrology Team and the UTECH School of Pharmacy. Without you, the day would not have been possible.

JAMAICAN NURSES IN HUSTON

The Jamaican Nurses in Huston made a significant donation of dialysis consumables to the Foundation. We are grateful for our new friends and their interest in our cause to help children with kidney disease. Thank You.

A special thank you also goes to Ms. Marjorie McLean who donated, from her personal savings, $1,000 USD. We are grateful.

MAY IS CHILD'S MONTH

“Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.” – John F Kennedy

This year, Child's Month is being celebrated under the theme "Prioritise Our Children's Mental Health: Strong Minds, Safer Future."

Every child is important and should be cared for, loved and protected. We love all our children and try to do our best to care for them. Our children need our support and protection.

As parents and guardians, we have a responsibility to provide a safe space for our children, not only physically but mentally and emotionally. Mentally strong children grow into confident and productive adults.

"Your children need your presence, not your presents." - Jesse Jackson

Half Way Tree Primary Blood Drive

For Child's Month, the Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation was invited to the Half Way Tree Primary School's Blood Drive.

Thank you to Half Way Tree Primary School for inviting us. We had a great time sharing our information and interacting with the students.

MOTHER'S DAY

Belated Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing mothers who go above and beyond for their children.

Special love to our Kidney Kids mothers, who, despite the challenges, go the extra mile to love, support and take care of their children.

We love you all!!

JUSTIN BROWN

A special thank you goes out to Mr. Justin Brown and his family for their generous donation of $1 Million Jamaican Dollars. Justin participated in lapathons over a period of one and a half years, and raised a total of $780,000. The remaining balance was donated by his family to make up the one million dollars.

KIDNEY FACT

THANK YOU CHASE FUND

The Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation is extremely grateful for the help we have received from The CHASE Fund in our mission to save lives. Through the CHASE Fund, we were able to acquire dialysis equipment for our Kidney Kids at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) Paediatric Dialysis Unit.

OUR REGULAR DONATIONS CONTINUE IN SPITE OF OUR FINANCIAL LIMITATIONS

The JKKF continues to donate catheters and medication monthly to aid in the care of our children with kidney disease. These donations help to save or lengthen the life of a child on dialysis.

We are currently financially strapped and need help to continue supporting the children. We would like to encourage you all to donate, even if it is just $100, every little counts.

You can make a donation via our NCB Account:

Bank - NCB Knutsford Boulevard
Account Number - 351115882
Type of Account - Current/ Chequing

We truly appreciate your kindness."Alone, we can do little, but together, we can do so much." - Helen Keller
Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation gives thanks to God and all our supporters for enabling us to still be around to serve our vulnerable Kidney Kids.

Please tell your friends about JKKF as
our continued survival depends on regular donations.

Your donations are important because “if the money we donate helps one child or can ease the pain of one parent, those funds are well spent.” – Carl Archer
