BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING!!
“Little things make big things happen.” – John Wooden
We are excited to welcome Ms. Courtney-Dawn Johnson as a volunteer with the Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation (JKKF). Ms. Johnson will be working with children receiving dialysis, offering educational support to help them stay engaged with their learning while undergoing treatment. Her contribution will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that our young patients continue to grow academically and confidently, even as they manage their health challenges.

Cycler Donation Handover
Through the generous support of the CHASE Fund, the Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation has been able to donate a brand-new Peritoneal Dialysis Home Choice Claria Cycler to the University of the West Indies.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the CHASE Fund for making this possible. This vital piece of equipment will significantly enhance the quality of care and treatment available to children living with chronic kidney disease.
WHO Adopts Resolution to Prioritize Kidney Health

At the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, the World Health Organization (WHO) adopted the first-ever resolution focused on kidney health, marking a historic turning point in the fight against this silent global epidemic.
The WHO resolution, “Reducing the burden of noncommunicable diseases through the promotion of kidney health and strengthening prevention and control of kidney disease,” was led by Guatemala with support from countries and stakeholders around the world.

THANK YOU SOL JAMAICA
Thank you to Sol Jamaica for their donation to our Foundation. We are extremely grateful for this donation as it will help us to continue our mission of improving the care of children with kidney disease in Jamaica and reducing the likeliness of children dying from kidney disease because of poverty.

THANK YOU TO THE CLAYTON FAMILY
We thank you with deepest gratitude for including the Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation in your celebration of friendship, "Love Actually". The donations have helped us to provide hemodialysis catheters from our own funding, while awaiting the CHASE-funded shipment.
Thank you all for your kindness to the foundation, and may you receive many blessings.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS HELP
Monthly, the Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation spends at least $300,000 on medications for the Kidney Kids, as well as additional sums for catheters or whatever other medical supplies that may be needed for treatment.

The Binocrit 4000 erythropoietin is the most expensive medication that we supply monthly. For the month, we supply 7 boxes for our Kidney Kids, which costs $250,000.
The binocrit is used to treat anemia in chronic kidney disease. It stimulates the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells and reduce the need for blood transfusions. All our kidney kids on dialysis need this medication.
Please help us to continue to support the needs of our children. Our monthly goal for donations is $450,000. This cost will help us to cover the monthly donation needs, as well as any other medical supply that the Kidney Kids may need.
THANK YOU CHASE FUND

The Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation is extremely grateful for the help we have received from The CHASE Fund in our mission to save lives. Through the CHASE Fund, we were able to acquire dialysis equipment for our Kidney Kids at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) Paediatric Dialysis Unit.
OUR REGULAR DONATIONS CONTINUE IN SPITE OF OUR FINANCIAL LIMITATIONS
The JKKF continues to donate catheters and medication monthly to aid in the care of our children with kidney disease. These donations help to save or lengthen the life of a child on dialysis.
We are currently financially strapped and need help to continue supporting the children. We would like to encourage you all to donate, even if it is just $100, every little counts.
